Ernie has more than 25 years of experience as a journalist, writing for digital and print newspapers, weeklies, and lifestyle magazines. He developed deep knowledge of Westchester County’s economic, social, and political landscapes during his 18 years as a news reporter for lohud.com / The Journal News. Earlier in his career, he wrote for the Herald News in Woodland Park, N.J., The Village Voice, and The New York Blade.

Prior to joining Thompson & Bender, Ernie served as Communications Director for the Mount Vernon Industrial Development Agency, where he promoted investment and development opportunities in the city. He lives in the Bronx.
