As Westchester Parks Foundation celebrates Camp Morty's 20th anniversary, the program continues its mission of providing free summer camp experiences that inspire confidence, leadership, and opportunity for Westchester youth.

Throughout the summer, guests can enjoy concerts, Country Line Dancing, Zumba, arts activities, and family-friendly programming, making Cross County Center a premier destination for summer fun in Westchester.

Cross County Center recently broke ground on a major redevelopment and expansion project that is drawing regional attention for its continued growth and innovation in retail and community space. The transformative project, which includes new retail buildings, underground parking, and a four-acre public park, was highlighted by Tony Aiello in a feature story for CBS News New York, showcasing how the iconic Yonkers shopping destination continues to evolve while many malls across the country struggle.

Students celebrated cultural diversity at The Charter School for Educational Excellence’s International Night. The event featured music, food, art and fashion from different cultures. Executive Director Danielle Rendina said students from kindergarten through 12th grade created projects representing their backgrounds. Parents said the experience helps children better understand and embrace their cultures.

A fully accessible medical office building is the new home of T&B client Westchester Disabled on the Move. Dignitaries from Westchester County and the City of Yonkers gathered May 14 to welcome the disability advocacy organization to One Executive Boulevard in Yonkers. The move to the renovated, four-story building, owned and leased by T&B client Simone Development Companies, provides a modern workspace for employees and a more accessible location for clients.

The Foundation in Support of Educational Excellence (FSEE) celebrated three pillars of Westchester’s community at its May 7 gala. The evening at Kanopi in White Plains paid tribute to the Tasca Automotive Group in Yonkers, philanthropist Elinor Urstadt and Anthony Goncalves, the chef at Kanopi in White Plains. The sold-out event raised vital funds for the Charter School of Educational Excellence (CSEE), ensuring the continued growth of one of Yonkers' most sought-after learning institutions.

The Westchester Parks Foundation and its Trails Without Limits program were recognized in the May issue of Westchester Magazine as a Healthcare Hero for the outstanding efforts of its volunteer team in creating more accessible outdoor spaces across Westchester County. Through trail improvements, community cleanups, and accessibility initiatives, volunteers are helping ensure residents of all abilities can safely enjoy the county’s parks and natural resources.
